1 min read

The Club Licensing Appeals Committee has turned down an appeal from Churchill Brothers Sports Club to allow them to continue in the I-League. The AIFF had reconvened a meeting of the Club Licensing Appeals Committee -with a new chairman -following orders from the Delhi High Court. The panel met in Delhi last Saturday and delivered the order late on Wednesday .

With this decision Churchill Brothers owner is not at all happy, Churchill Alemao said-

It’s the same order which was given to us earlier. Our appeal has been rejected. We are still deciding on our next plan of action

It has been learnt that Churchill brothers failed on 13 out of 42 mandatory Club licensing criteria, mainly all related to finance. AIFF inspection committee also found fault with Churchill’s youth program. Along with Churchill Brothers, United Sports club, Rangdajied United and Mohammedan SC (relegated) also failed to fulfill 42 set of criteria’s set forth by AIFF for club licensing.
