Minerva Punjab FC is well known for the amount of players it produces which play for the national team. The count has now increased to 76 and it is purely because of the extent to which the scouting team of MPFC goes and scouts for youngsters. This year the MPFC scouts went to the length and width of the country looking for players to be developed, trained and nurtured into professionals. They have scouted 16000+ trialists across the country in 25+ locations for a span of 100+ days.
The scouts were looking for all age categories starting from U11 to U18 for players who can be signed and trained by the champion coaches of MPFC at Chandigarh. The scouts received a staggering amount of trialists wishing to join the club and start their path of becoming professionals.

This unprecedented hunt for budding talent in the country was bigger than all I-League Clubs combined together which consisted of towns like Pedong, Kurseong, Namchi, Jowai which were scouted for the first time by any club in India. The MPFC scouting teams also reached out to the Sidhi Community in Talala, Gujarat whose members are descended from the Bantu peoples of the East African region. The purpose of scouting into such remote areas is that a lot of these youngsters don’t have the exposure and thus do not get the deserving opportunities.
These trials were conducted without any charges and if selected the players are entitled to get a full scholarship from the club.
