MUMBAI: Aizawl FC are closing in on another foreign signing to be added to coach Stanley Rozario’s squad for the ongoing season of I-League, with the player’s deal said to be as good as done.
The former champions recently signed defender Eze Kingsley and striker Abdoulaye Kanoute as well as retaining Alfred Jaryan and Richard Kasagga from the previous season.
India Footy has been reliably informed that the Peoples’ Club is set to add onto that list, Malian midfielder Amadou Alou Sissoko, whose signing is said to be as good as done.
“Sissoko is is joining Aizawl FC as everything regarding the move has been agreed to between all the parties involved,” confirmed a close source.
The 24-year-old is a utility player who can play both as a defensive and offensive midfielder and last turned out for Makedonija Gjorce Petrov in the 2016/17 Macedonian Premier League, however, since May 2017 he remained unattached.
