Kolkata: Veteran tactician Biswajit Bhattacharya has resigned as Southern Samity head coach after an abysmal start to the 2021/22 Calcutta Premier Division ‘A’ campaign, which has seen them fail to win a league match this season.
The Southern Avenue-based club have lost all three of it’s matches and are sitting on the bottom of the log without points from three matches.
“I don’t want to remain in my position as the head coach of Southern Samity. I have conveyed my decision to the club management and the players. I wish the club all the success in future.” Bhattacharya said.
Bhattacharya’s deputy Snehasish Chakraborty will step in as interim coach.
