GOA: FC Bardez came from behind to draw 3-3 against Sporting Clube de Goa in the Goa Professional League at Duler Stadium, Mapusa on Wednesday.
Sporting dominated the opening 10 minutes of the match. Sporting skipper Victorino had a shot at goal after a short run with the ball but his shot lacked accuracy, as he shot the ball out.
After some lovely passing between the sporting midfielders Glan Martins played a lovely through ball to Philip Odogwu but was well collected by Bardez Goalie Aliston Fernandes.
Bardez’s Inacio Colaco tried a shot at goal but was well blocked by the the Sporting defense. Sporting got their first goal in the 24th minute after Marcus Mascarenhas played a lovely ball to Philip Odogwu on the right flanks, the latter had a neat shot that hit the upright and went straight in.
Bardez had a good chance to equalise through Clinton Niasso who shot the ball over the crossbar after a lovely cross played to him by Kritikesh Gadekar from the left flank.Bardez’s Jessel tried a shot from some distance but was very much off target
Post resumption FC Bardez looked revitalized but were rattled in the 54th minute after Caitano Viegas scored an Own goal. The latter took Victorino’s pass which meant for his team mate in the goal.
Clinton Niasso did some quick feet before having a shot which went off the goal. In the 66th minute Glan Martins made it 3-0 for Flaming Oranje after he blasted in a shot from 30 yards after he received a precise pass from Quan Gomes.
FC Bardez managed to pull one back in the 71st minute through Chatur Naik who tapped in the ball after Sporting keeper Ozen Silva failed to hold onto the shot from Shubham Desai
Marcus Mascarenhas nearly got his name on the scoresheet as his shot hit the crossbar.
In the 85th minute Sporting defender Sodiq Ibrahim scored an own goal as he got his legs on the ball which was passed by Caitano Viegas. The ball just rolled past Sporting keeper Ozen Silva who couldn’t do anything.
In the 95th minute Inacio Colaco scored the equaliser as he slotted the ball in after Ozen Silva failed to hold on to the ball yet again in the match from a cross by Jessel Carneiro
